When you’re in Europe you really are spoiled for choice with the amount of amazing architecture on offer. One the cities you should visit is definitely Barcelona in north east Spain.
Barcelona is known for lots of picturesque avenues, churches and modern buildings too. One, which shouldn’t be overlooked is the La Sagrada Familia church.
The church was designed by Antoni Gaudi and to this day remains unfinished. This famed tourist attraction is Barcelona’s most popular and it is rated as one of the best in the world by Trip Advisor. Insider tip: It’s best to buy ‘skip the line’ tickets so you don’t have to wait in line for like an hour to gain entry to the church.
This is another must see attraction. Called La Rambla or Las Ramblas. The start of the street is at Plaza Catalunya and meanders its way down to the Monument of Columbus at the Port Vell harbour. Stroll down to the end and you’ll feel as you’ve captured the real Barcelona.
Of course you can’t visit Barcelona without going to Camp Nou. Visit during the months of late August and May to see a game and witness the likes of Suarez, Neymar and Messi in all their glory. If you can’t catch a game then its best to book a museum and stadium tour which holds over 100,000 spectators.
